Allen C. Puckett is promoted to Senior Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Puckett joined BOTJ as a consumer lender November 17, 2003 and transferred to commercial lending in February 2004. Subsequently he was promoted to Assistant Vice and Commercial Loan Officer, and Vice President and Loan Officer. Puckett's banking career spans retail, loans, and branch administration. He holds a BS in Finance from Virginia Tech.

J. R. Rodes III is promoted to Vice President and Credit Analyst. Rodes joined BOTJ as a Junior Credit Analyst following his graduation from Wake Forest University with a BS in Finance. He was promoted to Bank Officer and Credit Analyst on December 19, 2006, and to Assistant Vice President and Credit Analyst on March 28, 2008. A graduate of Leadership Lynchburg, he will represent the Bank in this year's ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking first year co-hort.

Karen L. Wilson is promoted to Vice President and Loan Administration Manager. Wilson began her Bank of the James career on August 18, 2003. She had extensive prior banking experience in loans, retail and management, and had earned a BA from Randolph-Macon Woman's College.

Donna P. Johnson is promoted to Officer and Loan Processor Manager. She joined BOTJ as an Operations Specialist on February 18, 2003 and was transferred to Loan Administrator May 2004. She holds an AAS in Computer Information Systems from Central Virginia Community College.

Fatima Asghar is promoted to Officer and Branch Manager, Main Street. Asghar began her career with Bank of the James as a Teller/Customer Service Representative Trainee at Main Street January 2006. She was subsequently promoted to CSR at our Forest branch and Assistant Branch Manager, Church Street May 2009. She was promoted to Branch manager, Church Street December 20, 2011. She holds a bachelor degree in biology as well as a teaching certificate.

Jimmy C. Murphy is promoted to Officer and Treasury Sales Manager. In this emerging role, Murphy will report to Michael A. Syrek, Executive Vice President and Senior Loan Officer. Murphy joined Bank of the James as a Teller at our Forest Branch on August 1, 2011 and was promoted to Corporate Sales Team leader effective January 1, 2012. He earned his MBS and BS in Business Management from Liberty University. His prior career experience includes nine years in financial services including seven in banking.
